Myth # 4: Eating Sugar Causes Sugar (Diabetes)

Sugar consumption alone does not cause diabetes. But if the individuals are already at a risk of developing diabetes, consuming too much sugar can trigger the disease. Sugary items do not directly cause diabetes but for sure they cause obesity, and obesity is one of the major causes of diabetes.
